INDEPENDENT TESTIMONIALS
S, Jepps “I haven’t had one single depression or problem since visiting the psycho salon an hour ago, I can’t recommend you highly enough.”
DKUK is a pop up salon that will be taking over Ancient & Modern Gallery throughout August 2013. It was initiated by artist Daniel Kelly who will be creating an environment in reaction to the historic meaning of the word salon – a regular gathering of writers, artists, held in a fashionable household.
The space will play host to a programme of time based art works, that change daily, while Kelly (who is a trained hairdresser) will be stationed in the gallery cutting clients hair.
You can book an appointment according to who will be performing or showing work on any given day.
Harris & Clarke collaborate for double remuneration during your haircut on the chosen day of 10th August.
Untrained life coach Kev Clarke & assistant Kirsty Harris will administer a one to one session to help banish YOUR blues. Harris will help demonstrate Clarke’s outlandish life tutorials that will brighten up your existence no end.
When your haircut is complete Harris will document it and produce a miniature silverpoint drawing of your hair over the coming days. The drawing will then hang in the gallery and at the close of DKUK you can collect the piece to keep.
